B2R Finance has brought Matt Malanga on board as chief marketing officer. Malanga brings over 20 years of marketing experience to the B2R team, previously working at BMC Software, Citrix Systems, and Oracle. As CMO, he will lead marketing direction for both B2R Finance and Dwell Finance.

“We’ve taken a clean-sheet approach toward developing products and technology that meet single-family rental investors’ cash flow, proceeds and structuring needs. My role as CMO will ensure that our borrowers continue to gain awareness of our products and that our suite of lending solutions aligns with their needs,” Malanga told REFI.

B2R was founded in 2013 as a financial technology firm that focuses on the goals of single-family rental property investors. The firm will continue to refine its current products and technology to meet the needs of borrowers at every stage of rental property investing, said Malanga. “Technology is more than just an enabler to making processes more efficient and faster, it is also an avenue to introduce new paradigms and capabilities to help rental property investors grow their businesses,” he added.

Malanga pointed to the different opportunities provided by the firm’s focus on technology as well as its niche in the market. “The needs of the SFR investor often don’t align with the narrow box offered by traditional lenders. This creates a host of new opportunities both for B2R and our borrowers and we look forward to leveraging technology to enhance their experience with us,” he said.

Malanga will be based out of the firm’s Charlotte, N.C. headquarters and report to CEO Jason Hogg.
